Message | This has nothing to do with private institutions providing better and more efficient service. If you can't afford it, what's the use? Any education is better than none at all... |
Date | 16:45:55, July 28, 2007 CET | From | Free People's Party | To | Debating the Education Act |
Message | Isn't that why there's vouchers to pay for the schooling of disadvantaged children as well as the option of home schooling? |
Date | 03:36:52, July 30, 2007 CET | From | Cosa Nostra | To | Debating the Education Act |
Message | What's the point of vouchers? So you can still refuse whenever you feel like it? Education is a basic right, no? And home schooling is no good: how can you keep up a good education standard? Are we going to go int people's homes to confirm they're doing a good job or tell how to do it? |
Date | 07:58:05, July 31, 2007 CET | From | Morningstar Option | To | Debating the Education Act |
Message | It would be a waste of resources to send 'monitors' to the home schooled. The schools are built, they might as well use them. |
