MessageMr Speaker,

I assume this will be followed by the long overdue cut in taxes to 10%?

I yield the floor.

MessageMr. Speaker,

This is madness. To reduce internal affairs by so much is insane. What are our police supposed to do with so little money, chase criminals with bicycles? For those that don't know the importance of Internal Affairs, I strongly suggest you look at their responsibilities available to be seen on the cabinet page. As for the other cuts, how could you end the Luthori Space program? Have ye no national pride? How could deny our people life saving operations through the massive cuts to health and social services? Have ye no soul? The overbloated defense budget is a far better target than this.

I yield the floor.

MessageMr Speaker,

I believe the military are still ab;e to support the police. Perhaps it is time to return the responsibility for internal security to the army, instead of them remaining in their barracks awaiting the next war? As for the space programme: didn't we recently privatise it?

I yield the floor.
