Message | "Health is not simply the absence of sickness." -Hannah Green "Health is worth more than learning." -Thomas Jefferson We must strive for the betterment of the people while still attaining a reasonable economic basis in our decisions. We must realize, however, that the growth, continued good health, and ultimate survival of our people is the most integral function of government - whether it be through military defence or national health legislation. Article I To ensure proper accountability on the part of alcohol distributors, all vendors of alcoholic beverages must be required to obtain a license provided by the federal government. All forms of drug use and even tobacco use in our nation is banned. We should not become a nation and government of hypocrites and allow alcohol to pass freely throughout this country. Alcohol has always been illegal for underage drinkers - it is time to take action to be sure it doesn't get into their hands. Article II One issue that plagues all nations is the issue of unintended pregnancy, particularly as it most often appears within the lower classes. This will subsequently lead to a larger population of relatively poorer, uneducated, and less healthy individuals. Promoting the use of contraceptives now will curtail this long-term issue in the future. Further, it will also mitigate the health hazard of sexually transmitted disease, ultimately lowering the cost to our healthcare system. It doesn't make sense not to. Article III As citizens of this nation, it is our duty to help and defend our fellow Darnussians. By instituting compulsory organ donation, usable organs could be carefully harvested from corpses and give life to others. Tens of thousands of citizens are currently on waiting lists, and throughout the following years, potentially millions of people could be saved. How could we justify the current law? How can we justify this genocide-by-apathy? Or is it just unwillingness? The unwillingness of our people to save their neighbors' lives? Once again, it is the government's duty to ensure the people's protection and health. We owe it to our nation to do so. |

Message | Organ harvesting can be done in a way as to refrain from severe aesthetic damage to the corpse. Further, the corpse is, of course, a corpse. It shouldn't be left to simply rot when a single body could provide a heart, lungs, kidneys, bone tissue, and more. It is providing the gift of life through the inevitability of death. |

Message | In light of support for the majority of the bill, we will amend this to exclude the subject of organ donation, which can be brought up at a later time, and move to vote. |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
