Bill: Freedom of Speech in Business
Details
Submitted by[?]: Anarchist Liberation Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2437
Description[?]:
It ought not to be the position of this government to mandate what speech is and is not allowed, save for extremely uncommon instances that could cause bodily harm. Our stance on advertising sets up the nation as a "speech police," which I am entirely uncomfortable with. Whether expressing unpopular politics, bigotry, or crass advertising, it should be the citizenry's job to reprimand the idea, not ban the speech itself. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy on advertising
Old value:: Only advertising that meets certain set standards is permitted.
Current: Only advertising that meets certain set standards is permitted.
