Bill: Prescription Drug Reform Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Lodamun Autonomous Republican Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2439

Description[?]:

The current government's policy of providing free drugs to low income citizens is yet another example of wasteful beuracracy; were the government to stop offering these drugs and offset the savings with a reduction in regressive consumption taxes, low income citizens would be better able to afford these on their own. The current system fosters a sense of entitlement and encourages laziness.

MessageIs it just me or is FL trying to out-URP the URP? I think it's working too.

MessageOOC: we're all for free market and small government, always have been. And there's certainly no replacing you. The problem with this is in order to make your party's public face free market, (there aren't any communists in Lodamun, so monopoloy and government ownership issues don't come up) i have to vote for stuff like this. I know you won't believe me but I'm just trying to get FL to what i envision it as. I mean, for God's sake, we're now classified as restrictive-leaning for civil rights and unitarist-leaning for centralization? how'd i manage to bungle those? This isn't an exact scrience for me, i'm not trying to play the system, I'm trying to play a game. Hell, i rarely even do polls.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.

Random quote: "Those who expect to reap the blessing of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it. " - Thomas Paine
