MessageThis treaty contains a fundamental flaw. It contains an article which allows for a law stating: "Public officials are not allowed to wear religious symbols while exercising their duties."

CCU considers this to be a huge infringement upon the freedom of religion. We oppose this treaty.

Messagewe don't agree, in our opinion public officials should look neutral like judges for example. If they wear religious symbols, their independence and neutrality can be questioned.
