Bill: Child Labor Correction Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Citizen's Progressive Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2439
Description[?]:
In this country, education in schools is compulsory for everybody until the age of 18. In this country, children can have regulated jobs. However these combined lead to a problem: To have a child both work at a job, and to also have them go to school as they are required is very draining. While the Child Work Act of 2150 was designed to avoid conflicting with school, we believe that this is expecting the children to handle much more than they should. There is no need to have the children to work and there's no need to give them this burden; welfare is in place for low-income and extremely large families. |
Proposals
Article 1

Message | Why shouldn't children be allowed to have a paper round? |
Date | 02:21:41, August 14, 2007 CET | From | Emblem Party | To | Debating the Child Labor Correction Act |
Message | A paper round? could you imagine that? Waking up at one in the morning and working till 6 just to have to go school 10 minutes later. It would drain and exhaust students and causing them break-down resulting in failure or being fired. Children must learn first before working or they'll never get a job worth the payment. We, The Emblem Party, Support this act on behalf of The Republic of Aldegar. |
