Description[?]:

The DSP, after observing the establishment of the nation of the Free Republic of Lourenne, has come to the conclusion that do to the similarities, both geographic (we are next to each other and share a major trade inlet) and sociopolitical (we have similarly leaning parties) it would be in the best interests of Sekowo to seek negotiations with the Free Republic of Lourenne for the establishment of a Free-trade and Non-Aggression treaty between us.

MessageJust to give everyone a good idea of the two countries geopolitical positions, I've edited the main world map (that's not been updated to show the regional maps) to show them.

MessageBy mutual security we mean promising not to attack each such, however the details of what the treaty would look like will have to be debated by not only the legislatures of each nation, but between the nations themselves as well.

MessageThe changes in wording have been made.

The DSP however does believe that in the future mutual protection treaties will be required as more nations (with the ability to go to war, as will be in Paragon) start to move into the continent.

MessageThe SCP supports an agreement that would lower tariffs, though we are hesitant to authorize free trade. We also support a non-aggression pact that might eventually be made into a mutual defence pact.

MessageFree trade may or may not be a part of it, it all really depends on how things turn out with the Free Republic of Lourenne, whether they would want to enter the treaty, and if they do what aspects they would want to engage in.

Random fact: Moderation will not approve a Cultural Protocol request within the first 48 hours of it being requested. This is in order to give other players a chance to query the proposed changes, if they wish to do so. Moderation may be approached for advice on a proposed change, but any advice proffered should always be understood under the provisio that no final decision will be made until at least 48 hours after the request has been formally submitted for approval.

Random quote: "We must show that liberty is not merely one particular value but that it is the source and condition of most moral values. What a free society offers to the individual is much more than what he would be able to do if only he were free. We can therefore not fully appreciate the value of freedom until we know how a society of free men as a whole differs from one in which unfreedom prevails." - Friedrich August Hayek
