MessageWhat's the point of wasting money on research if we're not going to use them?

MessageAgreed, there is little point in conducting research and development unless we're actually allowed to build the said weapons and use them in war.

MessageI wasn't suggesting we should be allowed to use them, USP. Don't use that as an excuse!

MessageThe Research and development of such things will lead to breakthroughs in things such as vaccinations and other untold technologies. Also as stated in the bill if we are allowd to retaliate with them then to cover our bases we do need a plan in place.

MessageWe should never use chemical or biological weapons, period end of story. Unlike nuclear weapons, which can be used specifically against (large) military targets, chemical and especially biological weapons necessarily involve civilian populations, regardless of how they are used. We would, however, support research into biological and chemical weapons to develop effective vaccines and treatments.

MessageThis will be reset by the elections so it does really matter right now. Super II, please read the Assembly Rules requiring 5 months of debate before a vote.

MessageThe VRWCP should remember that you don't have to wait 5 months for debate if there aren't enough months before the election to complete a vote. And that the SS2TP is still learning the machinations of the political machine.

MessageWe also are against chemical and bio weapons. We support nuclear as it carries the MAD deterrence. Since our nation only plans to carry out a land battle on our soil, we would be effecting our citizens should they be used against an invading force.

MessageLevP, we made the statement that the vote would be reset by the elections. If being "new" excuses SS2TP from following the Assembly Rules, what is LevP's excuse for "Malpractice Tort Reform - June 2091" and "No NBCR Policy - June 2091"? What was the purpose of the Rules if they are not followed or enforced?

This Assembly has become increasingly hypocritical and the practice of one left wing party overlooking another left wing party's "indiscretions" at the ojection of the right is alarming. As we are the only remaining moderate party in Malivia, it has become clear that the left does not want true debate and exchange of ideas. The left parties are using Malivia as a social playground for ideas that have been tried and failed already in every part of the world. The citizens of Malivia, however, continue to vote for this antequated form of government. Therefore, we shall resign our seats in the Assembly and allow the citizens to lay in the bed they have made for themselves.

MessageCuriously, the VRWCP has now violated the Assembly Rules themselves:

4) Members in debate will restrict their comments such that they be relavant to the matter of the bill.

Random fact: Large scale RP planning (such as wars, regional/continental conflicts, economic collapse, etc.) should be planned (as best as it can be) and should have consent of a majority of players involved.

Random quote: "The answer to global warming is in the abolition of private property and production for human need. A socialist world would place an enormous priority on alternative energy sources. This is what ecologically-minded socialists have been exploring for quite some time now." - Louis Proyect
