Message | Child labour will happen, whether we ban it or not. At least with regulation, we can have some measure of control over it. A tax on corporations will hurt everyone, as will a tax on essential goods. |

Message | With a ban comes the ability to prosecute the exploiters of children. Children should be in school as it is the only known way to ensure upwards social mobility. While we can see your point about essential goods, The Moderate Reason of Voice Party do not understand why corporations, many of them owned by foreigners, shouldn't give us a tiny fraction of their bountiful opulence so that we might invest it in bettering our present and securing our future? We're not even asking for tithe, although according to our scriptures we assuredly should. |

Message | Children should be in school, but the reality is sometimes circumstances occur where they will have to work. By adding extra regulation to child labour, we give an incentive to employers to put them in the type of work we allow them to do, whereas if we ban it outright they might as well put them in dangerous jobs, since they will be prosecuted if found out anyway. We take your point about corporation tax, and will support that. |

Message | In the spirit of compromise we concede on the issue of child labor. Although we do not completely share your view on that matter, we recognize that there is some merit in Mizrachi League argument. As for the corporation tax, we at the Moderate Voice of Reason Party suggest we get down to discussing the exact percentage of tax that should be levied on corporations. We think 8 percent is more than fair. And if you have no objections, The Moderate Voice of Reason Party think we will have reached an equitable agreement. |

Message | 8% is good, we'll support it. |
Date | 23:30:03, August 06, 2007 CET | From | Pharaoh's People's Party | To | Debating the The Moving Our Nation towards Economic Yield Act |
Message | While The Pharaoh's People's Party would prefer a larger tax, it supports the 8% compromise currently agreed to, and will willingly save the debate on child labor for a later time. |
