Bill: Benevolent Provider's Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Ordo Inordatum
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2440
Description[?]:
The task of feeding the nation is far too important to be trusted to the profit-motivated private sector, who would see the slothful wealthy class indulge on opulent feasts while the faithful workers and soldiers starve. With blights, crop failures, pestilence, and price-gouging running rampant, it is clear that the populace lacks both the efficiency and trustworthiness needed for such important work. We believe that the State should be the sole providers and benefactors of the allegiant public. The machine of the State alone possesss the drive and power to efficiently produce and provide rations, and towards that end, efficient methods and practices must not be questioned. Those who are well-behaved and properly fill their role in society shall have their nourishment guaranteed. Trust in the guiding hand of the State, and you shall be rewarded. |
