| New research shows that although the Founding Fathers did participate in fencing, cock fighting was the more popular sport. Therefore, this act calls for institution of non-lethal timed "cock fighting" as the national sport. Since we are aware that animal rights activists are concenred about this sport, we offer the following rules: 1) The roosters are not encouraged to fight, but fight voluntarily. 2) Three timed rounds, each no longer than 5 minutes each. 3) A referee must stop the fight if any rooster is in danger of being severely injured or killed. 4) A point scoring system is in place like in amateur boxing. 5) The fighting roosters are to be treated above and beyond normal standards of animal care. 6) The rooster shall not be equipped with any devices that may be construed as weapon or armor. Only clawing and pecking is allowed. |
