Bill: Nuclear Power Reformation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Deus Ex Machina Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2441
Description[?]:
As we enter the middle of the 25th Century, advances in Nuclear Technology have lead to one of the safest providers of energy on the planet. We no longer need to worry about meltdowns, radiation leaks, hazardous waste spills, or weapons grade uranium. The technology is in place and available to prevent 100% of all radiation accidents, and provide energy safely and cheaply. Now that our world has reached the twilight of the fossil fuels age, we must move on to a new fuel source. Energy requirements will only increase from here, while our available supplies diminish. As we blacken the skies with out fear and paranoia of nuclear energy, we cause irreparable damage to our environment and our own civic health. Nuclear power is the future, it is safe, it is cheap, and it should be our main alternative. As of this date solar, wind, and other green forms of energy are inefficient and impractical on large scales. Until we can perfect these technologies we should use nuclear energy as a primary source. |
