Details
Submitted by[?]: Syndicalist Caucus
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2442
Description[?]:
The Cildanian government can demonstrate compassion to a great majority of it citizens by aligning all statutory holidays to coincide with those dates considered most important to the practitioners of the dominant religions of the nation. The secular observance of these holidays is to be made mandatory across all non-essential industries, with appropriate compensation made to all those engaged in labour on these days. This bill is not an endorsement on any religion over another. The passage of such a policy requires the formal recognition of those congregations that can be legitimately considered a religion as apposed to a 'cult' |
Proposals
Article 1

Old value:: There is no government policy concerning a state religion.
Current: There is an official state religion, but membership is completely voluntary.
Proposed: There is no official state religion, but the government only allows recognized religions. 'Cults' are persecuted.
