Message | We need less needless taxes, not more. What, pray tell, is the money for? |
Date | 15:11:43, August 09, 2007 CET | From | United Reformation Party | To | Debating the Sales Tax Bill |
Message | For starters our Trade and Industry sectors are in dire need of funding increases, not to mention Food and Agriculture and Defence. Furthermore, we don't feel that a 10% Luxury Sales Tax and a 5% Sales tax on essential goods is excessesive or unreasonable. |
Date | 14:45:26, August 10, 2007 CET | From | Common Party | To | Debating the Sales Tax Bill |
Message | The Common Party feels 'Luxuries' are unnecessary and recommends the tax be set to 100% to effectively ensure the bourgeois pay their fair share. |
Date | 08:18:49, August 11, 2007 CET | From | National Liberty Party | To | Debating the Sales Tax Bill |
Message | Our government is currently operating at BAR$23.8 million surplus. Any additional taxes on our citizens are unreasonable and excessive, period. Let's keep our hands out of the People's pockets. |
Date | 02:50:42, August 12, 2007 CET | From | Cohesive Socialism Party | To | Debating the Sales Tax Bill |
Message | The fact that our citizens have lived under a system without taxes is a testament to the wonder of this nation. However, such minor increases for a non-taxing rate are acceptable in the minds of our party. Hopefully, the introduction of these minor taxes hikes can be coupled with a large push towards publically funding many of our social services (health, education) that are currently susceptible to the corporate world. The CSP approves. |
