Bill: More TREES Means More WOOD Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Capitalist Working Families
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2442
Description[?]:
This law stipulates that for every tree that a logging company chops down, the replacement of the lost tree must be DOUBLED. In other words, if "Logging Company X" chops down 25 trees, they must be responsible for planting 50 trees. The more trees that is planted means that the more WOOD the nation can produce in the future. Thank you for your full support. |

Message | It's always good to get more wood. |
Date | 17:10:14, August 10, 2007 CET | From | Quellist Party | To | Debating the More TREES Means More WOOD Act |
Message | We worry about the enviromental chance caused by planting more trees. This could lead to less land being able to be used for crops etc. We feel the status Quo is adequate. |
Date | 02:38:12, August 11, 2007 CET | From | Deus Ex Machina Party | To | Debating the More TREES Means More WOOD Act |
Message | Quellist we are planting the trees in forests. Instead of a forest being turned into a wasteland, our old law would keep it as a forest with lots of stumps. Our new law would turn it into a much thicker and more lively forest. |
Date | 03:02:55, August 11, 2007 CET | From | Capitalist Working Families | To | Debating the More TREES Means More WOOD Act |
Message | Quellist, if there is not enough land to be used for crops, logging companies can just CHOP them down. In the process, the production and supply of wood is higher which means that the PRICE is LOWER. |

Message | Are you serious? Under this proposal you would then have to plant more trees, and so would lose even more land. |

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current. |
