Bill: Conservation of Marine Resources Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Neo-Epicurean Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2442
Description[?]:
It is well known that unregulated fishing can lead to depletion of ocean stocks. Rather than face this threat to the fishers' livelihoods and our citizens' nutrition, we propose a regulation of fishing to limit the number of fish that may be caught at any one time. This will promote continued, sustainable use of our land's natural resources. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Commercial fishing regulation.
Old value:: There are no limits on the amount of fish that may be caught.
Current: The government establishes fishing quotas.
Proposed: The government establishes fishing quotas.

Message | Instead of infringing on fellow Rutanians' RIGHT to unlimited fish, would it just be EASIER for the Gov't to inject "fertility drugs" in the fish and RE-insert them back into the water??? |

Message | To claim that people have a "right" to unlimited quantities of a limited resource is not reality-based logic. |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
