Message | The CSP worked many long and hard hours with additional parties to implement many of the proposals you see fit to unravel in a single bill. We disapprove. |
Date | 03:59:55, August 12, 2007 CET | From | National Liberty Party | To | Debating the The Freedom of Religion Act |
Message | By what right does the national government get to define an individual's religious belief? Why is the government the sole arbiter of what is a "true" religion, and what is a cult? Why aren't parents allowed to raise their children in the religion they see fit? Why can't those children rebel from their parents and decide for themselves? These laws you're so proud of infringe upon the basic religious freedoms of the individual. The coup you've managed to wrangle over the freedom of the Barmenistan citizens does not impress us. |
Date | 02:28:22, August 14, 2007 CET | From | Isolationist Utilitarian Party | To | Debating the The Freedom of Religion Act |
Message | Ridiculous. This would expose the citizens of our nation to untold dangers. Aside from the dangers of a hostile religious revolution, there are suicide cults and all manner of other deranged philosophies floating around. Many religions are fine, but far too many are dangerous and should be removed. |
