MessageIt is the opinion of the New Conservative Party of Malivia that the local governments, and the local people, can, and should, be trusted with the responsibility of providing for themselves. Devolution is the democratic option, and the option which does what is best by the people. As such, we propose the above changes to current law, in order to bring greater power to the people, and to the mayors and councils they elect. Think of the people in this instance, not of your own power, and support devolution.

MessageWould the PMOS perhaps like to explain why? Or, better yet, explain why their supporters would dislike the ability to have complete choice when it comes to their local government?

MessageIdeally we at the PMOS see local governments as a waste of time and will look to reduce there importance given the chance.

With that in mind those who agree in the incompetence of our local governments understand fully that there is no reason for us to support this backward proposal without confusing our voters.

MessageWe have voted no, because in general we want to keep local governments being governed by consensus, not narrow majorities, so we feel that the council model is better for that purpose.
