The best solution to the problem of illegal weapons is to allow law abiding citizens to carry them too. It has been time and time again proven that armed citizens cut crime in it's tracks, and if in the event of our nation been overrun by foreign invaders, I'd like to know that before the conquistadors disarm our civilians they will be able to fight back with the best possible weapons. |

Message | What about a nuclear weapon? There must be reasonable limits. |
Date | 07:57:23, August 13, 2007 CET | From | Liberty Party | To | Debating the Legality of Weapons |
Message | Citizens may only arm themselves for defense. As a nuclear weapon has no defensive value and is a purely offensive weapon, just like all unconventional weapons, would be illegal for civilian use. Citizens may only arm themselves for defense. |

Message | I believe if a citizen has the will and way to acquire a nuclear weapon, the petty laws of the government hold little relevance. However for the common man this bill will allow them to equip themselves in a manner suitable to protect themselves, any thing more is frivolous. |

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too. |
