| Message | CCU has been active in Jelbanian politics for roughly three hundred years. I believe the JKK is foolish to attempt to dismiss our party as "ineffective." The sad thing is most of the parties here right now will have disbanded in 30 years time, leaving CCU to form new coalitions with new parties. However, we are pleased to serve alongside the Liberals, the Communists, and the orgonic party - three parties we have a good deal of respect of admiration, even though we do not agree on all issues. We hope they continue to serve Jelbanians for many years to come. ooc: Perhaps you think we are "ineffective" because we abstained a good number of bills. For that we apologize, I travel quite a bit and often have no internet access. However, if parties allowed proper debate time, our party probably would not have missed those bills. |

| Message | We respect that the CCU has existed for a long time, and at times has ruled the nation as the sole party participating in elections. However are description of the current government as ineffective is primarily based around the imortant matter of running the country, which we feel has been done badly. A simple look at the finances of the country show that most departments are seriously underfunded for the activities that they are supposed to be carrying out, and we see this as a very ineffective measure. Government spending works out at 5% of the total GNP, and yet, supposedly, the government funds a massive recycling project, free health care for all, free university education, and an armed forces capable of using nuclear weapons, amongst other things. Basically we feel that the nation has been severly underfunded, and as a result must be seriously messed up. ooc: One respects that. Indeed any 'attacks' are strictly In Character, and are not directed at the player personally. |
