Torture should be banned because it produces false information and half-truths. If I had electrodes attached to your testicals and you knew who bombed something, you'd scream anything to get away from it. Maybe the criminal is in Kafuristan? But what is the tortured person screams he's from Deltaria? And what if the tortured person truly doesn't know the information being extracted? They'll surely make up any lie to get away from the pain. |
