Bill: Freedom of Arms Act 2442
Details
Submitted by[?]: Hutorian Anarcho-Communist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2443
Description[?]:
We'd like to open debate on this bill, after having had input from two parties, it seems arms export is a bill at least a portion of the parties can agree on. We would like to know how much, for now we'll leave it on a case-by-case basis, but any change would be a progressive one. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning the export of weapons to other nations.
Old value:: The government does not allow arms to be exported.
Current: The government allows arms to be sold only to close allies.
Proposed: The government must approve all arms sales on a case by case basis.

Message | It comes down the Le Chaim, I know they were in favor of selling within allied circles, but I must check with them on this one. And to think, RSP considers us a problematic party. I like to think we're being diplomatic. |

Message | Nope , exporting cheap arms to foreign countries promotes bloodshed in the name of profit . Exporting to allieds maybe . But our current bill is far better then the militarist view your party has been proposing constantly . |
Date | 05:17:48, August 17, 2007 CET | From | Hutorian Anarcho-Communist Party | To | Debating the Freedom of Arms Act 2442 |
Message | It promotes defense. People can sleep safely knowing they will be able to defend themselves should they be attacked, and considering the wars on other islands recently, it is a valid fear. |

Message | Since when did selling guns promote defence? the fear is there only because of your militarist pedaling gun frenzy fundamentals . |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
