Bill: Peace in our time
Details
Submitted by[?]: Ars Moriendi Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2445
Description[?]:
With universal conscription and military service, there is not a single person of adult age in our city who is not fully trained and capable of bearing arms. Any invader does so at the peril of the entire country rising against them. Our professional military -- and the massive subsidies it receives -- is therefore obsolete, destabilizing, and wasteful. |

Message | This legislation has prompted the LFF to set up a subcommittee with the purpose of delivering an anti-traitor act to the convocation. Are we now to allow private individuals to control the weapons production of this country? Why are we considering limiting our intelligence agency in it's functions? The LFF asks the foreign minister to comment here if any countries have complained about our activities abroad. Do we really want local, devolved prefectures deciding standards for concealed weapons? This will create a myriad of inefficient laws where someone will be prosecuted on one side of an INTERNAL country border and not on the other side. The LFF urges all parties to condemn this proposal. |
