Message | We can only support Article One, the rest would have a negative impact - clearly article one would allow kanjor to benefit from the beneficial qualities of foreign workers who may have skills which are in demand in Kanjor. The other two articles would be bad, article two would remove any benefit we gain from foreign aid and we are clearly not a charity .....so should benefit in some way. Article 3 would open the floodgates of immigration. So we would vote no at the current time and state of the bill. |

Message | In it's current form this bill has a yes from the PPPP, though that hardly helps against a no from the KCP. Kanjorans and people in general are charitable, and I'm sure they would appreciate their government reaching out to make Terra a better place. |

Message | Allow us to quote the PPPP here, "A strictly volunteer military a better military. Citizens of the Confédération should not be forced into doing any work for the government." And then change it slightly, "A strictly volunteer charity organization is a better charity organization. Citizens of the Confédération should not be forced into doing any work for the government." Aid costs moeny, and where would all the money come from? We may be a charitable people, but we are not a charity. In any case, there are still Kanjorans in need of aid and we should help ourselves before we help others. As for article three, are we the only party that remembers a war going on? Now is not the time to open our borders. |

Message | You've made the war up CoN nobody cares. We are not giving high levels of aid, only moderate aid. We are not a charity, we believe in solidarity, namely that we help others out when they are in need and they do the same. Its not the elitist notion of throwing coins to the dirty plebs, but supporting a fellow human in need as we all fall on hard times. Sadly CoN seems to believe that no nation would ever come to our aid if Kanjor was in trouble. Such a lack of trust in humanity thier part. |

Message | When did we say that? We know Mordusia would not come to our aid because that's what MORDUSIA declared. |

Message | Ah so Mordusia=all nations now? Magic indeed. |

Message | When did Article 3 get added? We don't like that one. |
Date | 23:04:01, August 18, 2007 CET | From | Autonomie d'Ouvrier | To | Debating the Foreign Policy Reformation Act |
Message | Why? We're not a police state. We need not treat foreigners like crazed potential criminals. |
Date | 13:55:17, August 19, 2007 CET | From | Kanjoran Centrist Party | To | Debating the Foreign Policy Reformation Act |
Message | We would support article 1if proposed in it's own bill as we feel this is the only proposal that could actually benefit the people of Kanjor regardless 0f their supposed charitable nature! Charity begins at home anyway.... and we do take issue at where funding would come from for such foreign aid. At least with the current legislation aid is tied to trade and therefore helps countries in need contribute and participate in the global economy in a way that outright charitiy would not encourage, charity is not what these countries want or need - they merely require assitance to enable them to work themselves out of poverty. |
Date | 13:56:21, August 19, 2007 CET | From | Kanjoran Centrist Party | To | Debating the Foreign Policy Reformation Act |
Message | And furthermore, tying aid to trade allows a more sustainable aid policy and does not drain as much money from the Kanjoran economy yet provides just as much support as outright charity would in fiscal means. |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
