Message | The SCP wholeheartedly supports this move. |

Message | Wouldn't having two elected officials worsen partisanship overall in our government? A symbolic head of state does not interfere with the way the country is run at the moment, as opposed to the system you propose. |

Message | Not really. The president, whom is the head of state is elected by the people. The Prime Minister, whom is head of government is elected by the parliament. In both cases they are voted for by the people, in the case of the PM it is more election through representation, but still. |

Message | Regardless, they still have to split some of the power that currently only the head of government uses. By giving this nation what is in effect two leaders, it'll simply increase political bureaucracy and cause legislative stagnation. Who ever heard of a successful country with both a Prime Minister and a President? |

Message | I might have supported if you hadn't chosen such lifeless, dull titles. This bill would revert us to a blank, "brand-name" republic. |

Message | OOC: Make and then put together the roots for equivalent titles in Tsekwon and get back to DSP on this. |

Message | If it's not hereditary there's a chance a nigger will become the head of state and I won't have that. >:( |

Message | About 30 % of the RL world has a president and Prime Minister, apart from that it provides a further set of checks and balances, which is something needed in parliamentary systems. What's the point in coming up with flamboyant titles, they don't really mean anything or affect the persons job. However, if you want to suggest some, and it means you'll vote in favor of it, we'll do it. The DSP/I do/es not recognize the idiots racists remark as legitimate. |

Message | Forgot to add, if the head of state and head of government were to be the same thing, and democratically elected, would you feel differently towards the abolition of the monarchy? |

Message | Honestly? Yes, since that would render my argument somewhat moot. O: |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
