Bill: Homeland Security
Details
Submitted by[?]: Likaton Coalition of the Willing
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2445
Description[?]:
An interim measure. "Ars Moriendi party 'security' has been increased " "Police patrols are doubled until the current parties accept and agree to work within the election results established" "The decisive victory of the Ars Moriendi Party, ... the fraud, violence, intimidation, and general thuggery " "The Ars Moriendi party will ...respond in kind." "Every adult of legal age... that voted for the Ars Moriendi Party... is a trained soldier" These direct quotes from Ars Moriendi press releases clearly show their intent to use force to consolidate their illegitimate hold on the Convocation. We feel that they should a) Clearly state that they are not going to fill our govenrment with lackeys and lickspittles, and b) look to shorten the time between elections to allow a re-vote as soon as possible. |

Message | We can quote selectively as well: "I, First Advocate Stalon Hullte, as leader of the Likaton Nation, expunge the result and declare martial law." "The AMPfS introduce this Bill, and intend to implement it by force if necessary, regardless of Convocation vote" Note that we did not have to omit key phrases with ellipses or deliberately misquote the AMPfS to demonstrate their disregard for rule of law the the legal outcome of elections that were, if anything, corrupted by opponents of the Ars Moriendi party. The motion, obviously, is rejected. Repropose without Article 2 and the deliberately insulting description and the measure shall, perhaps, meet with our support. |
