Bill: Protection of Wages
Details
Submitted by[?]: CSA Pax et Socialism
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2446
Description[?]:
DENOUNCING slavery and slave labor. ALLOWING the workers of Dolgaria to live and let live, work and let work. MAKING sure workers are not cheated by their employers. ACKNOWLEDGING that employers stealing from workers is just as bad, if not worse than employees stealing from employers. ACKNOWLEDGING that no work is free, and all who put in work for society need to get something back from society, for the sake of living and furthering society. ALLOWING workers to pay for food, clothes, shelter, education, transportation, and the necessities to live. KNOWING that this is not evidently possible if workers are not paid or are paid ridiculously low, are cheated, and are stolen from. ENCOURAGING fair pay for all. |

Message | Too much, no need for someone who is single to have enough money to support a family of four |

Message | And what of those who have a family? Who supports them? Most adults have at least 1 dependent, be they single or not. |

Message | It's not about how much, but about solidarity. Why should some (even if they work very hard for it) hav so much money they couldn't possibly spend it all, while others haven't enough to support themselves or their loved ones (even while they work very hard as well)? |

Message | Exactly FPP, you ask, why should someone who is single get a few extra 2 dollars an hour, but you have NO PROBLEM with others sitting on theirs asses on one of their 5 yachts, drinking a martini, never working a day in their lives, getting millions each year. Who deserves it more? Don't answer wrongly. |

Message | What disgusts me is how someone can say MINIMUM wage is too high, but has no problem that a MAXIMUM wage doesn't exist. 10,000 a year for a truck driver is way too much for you, but 800,000 for a CEO is not enough. Apparently, the CEO needs more money so he can buy more Swedish imported Chokotoff goods for his fat kids, but the starving kids of the wage worker apparently have it "Too Damn Good." |

Message | Ahem... just like a Maximum Wage not existing... the same goes for a minimum wage. the reason people in factories are paid less is because ANYONE could do their job... while people who are paid more simply do work that requires are larger amount of skill. No quite simply, you idea of the super rich is a ton of rubbish, I simply cant take that seriously when you see all highly paid people as that. |

Message | That's a very patronizing approach... If anyone can do the job of the lesser papid, I'd like to see one of those so called 'skilled' managers do the job of any of their employees, including the coffee lady. Most of them have to call for help to change a lightbulb. |

Message | I'd like to see the coffee woman do the job of a chartered accountant. |

Message | Which proves my point and contradicts yours: workers' (and nobody's) jobs cannot be done by anyone... (By the way: there has been a fun at a the experiment with a bunch of Bonobo-apes and a team of stock brokers doing stock market predictions and the monkeys beat the brokers 7 times out of 10!!! ;-)) |
