MessageThe Workers Party opposes this.

Every citizen should know that if this country goes to war, they or their relatives will have to face the dangers of military action.

MessageWe oppose. It is the duty of citizens to at least offer themselves to this nation in times of desperation.

MessageI find it suprising this is not supported by the FIP. I was under the impression that the FIP prides itself on allowing freedom of the individual to make decisions? (Highlighted by your bill introduced to relax the laws on abortion) National service is a violation of civil rights.

I ask you to re-consider your decision.

MessageMr. Livingston,

Civil rights become insignificant when the safety of the very nation which would grant those civil rights to it's people is threatened. Do you expect ANY civil rights to be granted by a victorious aggressor?

MessageMiss. Taylor,

I have complete faith in the current minister for defence and minister for foreign affairs. Therefore, while war-mongering parties such as the CPS are kept out of these offices, I cannot see a war eventuating. Therefore our citizens will not be forced against their will to serve in the military.

Furthermore, the only military action in recent times in Solentia has been to remove your Conservationists from the Bailen Building. An action which I'm sure you will agree they carried out most professionally, without the need for any civilians to be given weapons.

Miss Taylor, Civil rights are never insignificant.

We will support. We are proud to support this.

MessageThe Union for Progression and Development, though realising the point and purpose of this bill, reccomends that a re-wording might be placed.

"All citizens are required, in times of war, to serve a term in the military until the age of 30. After the age of 30, citizens are free from compulsory military service in times of peace and in times of war."

We feel that this system would be much more effective than a simple: "Yes or no" to compulsory military service.

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself.
