Bill: Immigration and Naturalization Act (2445)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Beluzian Workers Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2448

Description[?]:

This act will establish the following policy regarding immigration and naturalization:

1) All those who wish to live in Beluzia may do so, provide they maintain a permanent address and are able to support themselves.
2) Only those who are born in Beluzia, or those born to nationals abroad, become Beluzian nationals.
3) Citizenship is automatically granted to nationals only.

This will allow free, unrestricted immigration into Beluzia. It will also mean that those who may identify themselves as Beluzian are born there (even if born to resident non-nationals) or born to Beluzian nationals abroad.

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.
