Message | Given that all major industry is socially owned, it seems reasonable for the government to take responsibility for waste disposal. |

Message | I thought that too. However, if we make private companies responsible for their own waste, would they use less packaging, etc.? |
Date | 01:24:36, August 16, 2005 CET | From | LibCom Party | To | Debating the Waste Disposal |
Message | Actually, we've already done that with our recycling legislation. |
Date | 08:28:11, August 16, 2005 CET | From | Leviathan Party | To | Debating the Waste Disposal |
Message | Which we would still like to see repealed because, as stated, recycling is neither cost efficient nor produces less pollution, making it a collosal waste of money, capital and effort. Regardess, yes, the government should handle waste disposal, to ensure proper measures are taken and to avoid any behind the scenes illegal dumping hidden behind a bottom line. |
