Bill: 2446 Proposal for Apella Seats to be Normalized

Details

Submitted by[?]: 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2447

Description[?]:

Because we have an even number of parties, and an odd number of seats, dividing the amount of votes each party is equal to and figuring out thirds is inadequate, we propose the number of seats in the Apella be increased to 600.

With 600 seats 2/3 (the amount required to change the Constitution) would be an even 400, rather than 399.99etc.

There is no real reason to vote against this.

This bill will not be put up to vote until such a time that it will not affect the upcoming 2447 elections.

MessageCeC does not have a strong opinion about this, but we do think 599 is fine and that 300 vote majority is fine and we do not see how the 2/3 majority would change as it would still require 400 votes.
