Bill: The Stable Government Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Moderate Voice of Reason Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2447

Description[?]:

While the ability to make many wide sweeping changes to our country\s laws in a short time may provide a rush of excitement to our proud nation\s legislative body, for the average citizen it is not so. Not knowing whether what you did yesterday legally is legal when you wake up to the new day is a disconcerting experience. I

n a country where now, to the casual and as well as the informed observer, it can seem as there are as many bill proposals as there are hours in the day a creeping uncertainty looms in dreary head. When the reality of tomorrow may be drastically altered from what has been true today, how can anyone look upon the future with a sense of direction, purpose and indeed optimism.

What we need to provide for our people is a sense of stability, measured changes that come when THE PEOPLE are ready for them and not as the result of a minor majority in some half-public party convention.

And while we in the MVR would like to see the nation shaped in accordance with our vision, we understand that the reasonable and moral choice is self-restraint. Therefore we move to limit the number of bill proposals.

And we respectfully ask for the debate to be about by how many, and not for and against. This is not about party politics, but about national stability.
