| Message | More punishing perhaps, but is not the purpose of the entire justice system the protection of the citizens and the society, and not inflicting as excruciating punishment on the perpetrator as possible? Spending tax money keeping criminals alive indefinitely without the intention of rehabilitating them appear more wasteful and much more cruel than the alternative. |
