MessageWhy does the Protectorate Party feel the need to cut defense spending while increasing the budget for infrastructure and transport by 10,000,000,000MCR?

Message"A huge boost in public funding" I apologize but, it appears as if the Militarist Party is failing to see where this absurd defense cut is going. We're cutting defense and increasing transportation and infrastructure to the same level that we do health and social services; and only marginally lower than we dedicate to educate. If you think the roads are more important than the protection of Malivian citizens and worse yet the education of our children in Malivia well . . .

MessageClearly if our other bill proposal where to go through then we would need to reinvest in public transport and provide money for the redesign of our cities.
This however, will be a short term infusion to aid in the transformation of our infrastructure. After which we believe we could cut the dept's budget in half.

MessageIt is not that we believe defense and education are not imporatant, as they are extremely important in our opinion, being two of our primary priorities in party policy. Due to the recently passed Ecology Reform, this could very well be necessary for public transportation. A great man once said: "Roads, mighty armies, and happy citizens - these are the foundations of a great empire." Our armies are indeed mighty with the enormous boost in funding, and this somewhat small cut will not place our nation in jepoardy. And our citizens are indeed happy - we have not seen a revolt in decades.

MessageI've seen it all, the Militarist Party supporting a cut in defense. . .What world do we live in? Clearly, the M.N.U.P. never supported the ecology reform bill that teeters on lunacy in our view. This clear and present issue is enough for the M.N.U.P. to object in full measure to this proposed budget. If it is the majorities view that it\'s worthwhile to ban private ownership of vehicles while not having an infrastructure -already- in place to facilitate this transition; we\'re asking for problems. Perhaps there hasn\'t been a revolt in years as the status quo has worked. Clearly, by the Protectorate Party\'s own admission this is a "transformation of our infrastructure" that shows no clear support in any polling. The will of the environmentalist agenda has already won in retarded and severely crippling an entire industry. I hope my colleagues consider the pragmatic impact of these measures. \r\n\r\nThe M.N.U.F. does support the notion that the Malivian infrastructure is persistently in need of maintenance and service. It isn\'t our shared vision of a Utopian-esque society where all eagerly go to and fro on a hair-brained mass-transit system with no other viable option by legal standards.

We would go further and actually support such a measure to increase the budget in transportation as needed on the premise this is truly a short term "infusion to aid" to facilitate in the revitalization of our nations infrastructure if the budget were not cut from the defense department. It is clear the Environmentalist agenda is at hand here with this desired increase in transportation perhaps those supporting this Ecology Reform bill will allow their cake and ice-cream to be ate separately by cutting spending in the Environment and Tourism Department and leaving the current defense budget as is. . .

MessageIf our over inflated military budget cannot find 10% to cut, when we have not been attacked, threatened or even denounced by a foreign nation in decades, we will desire a full accounting of the dept of Defense's spending habits. Perhaps the rest of the cabinet can help them find the cuts needed. As they have nearly 20% more funding then any other department. and in fact over 20% of the entire budget.

MessageIf our "over inflated military budget" can't find the 10% needed to cut in order to pave the way for a half-baked ecological reform bill that passed with marginal support and finds even less favor with Malivians, I think we need a better Minister of Defense. As is, the acting Minister of Defense, The MP, is supporting this cut and allowing their department to be walked upon. Also, respectfully to the Protectorate Party I DID propose where the money could come from however, you blissfully ignored the statement aforementioned and threw the gauntlet down to other cabinet members.

We're experiencing a government surplus yet, you want to cut the single most vital department responsible for the protection of Malivia? You point out we've had no foreign entanglements or domestic ones in some time. Will you hide behind this logic when we are? So, if I understand the Protectorate Party right-you slash defense spending and do a quick infusion into ecological reforms yet, you decry those who have problems with your plan yet-we need no cuts in spending to accomplish -your- goals here. It's crystal now. I urge my colleagues to cast their vote for Malivians and not an ideological agenda being shoved upon this Republic by the Protectorate Party.
