Bill: Defense Industry Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Luthori Pro-Gun Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2448

Description[?]:

We cannot truely rely on personally owned arms manufacturers. What if they go out of stock? What if the weapons are ineffective? The Government is the only group that can regulate production of arms, and, If the government controls the defense industry we will not have to subsidise or pay arms companies.

MessageMr Speaker,

We are simple Luthorian soldiers and know not what this "Defense" is. We must therefore vote nay for fear of adding foreing ideas and concepts to the Luthori statute books.

I yield the floor.

MessageMr Speaker,

Our country must have a decent defense system because on the off chance that we are attacked I would hope that our soldiers know what defense is. And if the other parties believe that we live in non-turbulent times, then the government could regulate the defense production to accomodate the times. If arms production is privatized, how do we know that our soldiers are even getting the same weapons?

Yeild.

MessageMr Speaker,

The concept of "privatization" is also beyond us. May we refer the hon members for the Civ DP to the Language Standardisation Act (http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=129392)?

I yield the floor.
