Bill: Nuclear Weaponry Protection Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Bull Moose Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2448

Description[?]:

As our law stands now, we consider it permissable to use nuclear weapons to retaliate to a nuclear attack, even though our laws also state that we may not develop, store, or purchase nuclear weaponry! We propose that we correct this glaring omission in our laws by allowing development of nuclear arms program as well as allowing their use in retaliation for biological and chemical warfare as well.

These proposed changes will correct inconsistancies in our laws, as well as shore up our defensive capabilites on a global scale.

MessageWe'd rather change the other part of the law. Let's not use nuclear weapons under any circumstances. We already don't have any, why bother?

MessageWe should have the freedom to choose if we want to use these weapons. We need to have a defence policy that is flexible and not tied down by the legislature's restrictions.

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself.
