Message | The first proposal is not tough on crime. It is a grave violation of human rights. Curfews were just recently banned because of their limit on the people's freedom. Government provision of legal aid is the way it is for purposes of equality. And you know how the PPPP feels about firearms. |
Date | 03:25:12, August 28, 2007 CET | From | Union Hosienne-Démocrate (UHD) | To | Debating the L'Acte de Réforme de Justice |
Message | Article 1 streamlines the legal process leaving law enforcement available to do their job. Every society requires the people to sacrifice some freedom for saftey. A curfew at the behest of local government is and should be acceptable. The rich need not be a burden upon the State when it comes to financing their legal bills. Firearms are in the hands of trained police officers, who are serving their communities in which they live. This ensures protection of the masses and enforcement of laws that have been poorly enforced. The 4-P's has given no legitimate reasons for the abandonment of these proposals. |
Date | 16:11:23, August 31, 2007 CET | From | Partie Patriotique de Kanjor | To | Debating the L'Acte de Réforme de Justice |
Message | We fully support articles 2 & 3 and we could live with 4. Unfortunately we cannot support article 1 under any circumstances. |
