Description[?]:
Private business are more efficient and therefore more successful than Nationalised ones. Given this, shoudn't we implement an entirely private healthcare for the good of the nation? Afterall, we are essentially destroying many of our citizens chance at becoming a success by maintaining a monopoly. We understand that many parties are concerned about the price of healthcare forcing our poorer citizens to go without, so we therefore also propose they have their bills paid for by the state. |

Message | "I am afraid we cannot support this, profit motivation will result in private businesses cutting costs and safety checks to provide a lower quality of healthcare. Additionally people on higher incomes will be able to afford more expensive operations or generally more operations meaning the lower middle classes and even upper lower classes will lose out. Finally doctors, knowing that their income is dependent on operations, vaccinations or surgeries completed will have the incentive to recommend unnecessary procedures to citizens creating an inefficient use of resources. This bill will result in a lower quality service, greater inequality and not to mention the numerous job cuts that will likely occur. We at Aymam value the health and well being of evey Beiteynuese man, woman and child. For our homeland to remain secure and safe all must be in a fit condition to work, contribute or if the case presents itself, fight." -- Naczelnik Nasi Efraim Lezeyn |

Message | "Public health care is good health care. It's good for our people. And what's good for the people is good for the economy. And what is good for our people, is good for our economy. It is, together with a strong public education system, the best investment any society can make." - Jeremiah Landau |

Message | "Public health care is not always good health care. It is over bureaucratic, and because of a perception of job security leads to employees being lazy. Basically, its very inefficient. It is not in private industries interests to cut corners. That leads to lawsuits, bad press, and any hospital that practised this would soon find itself out of business. People on low incomes will be able to afford the same operations as rich people, since we will pay for them. The health budget, which currently funds the entire system, should be enough to fund the entire lower class as well as the lower middle class, so they will not go without vital surgery through lack of funds. Doctors are not some cynical, money-grabbing class as Aymam suggests. While some may try to convince patients to get extra surgery, since it goes against health insurance industries interests to pay out for needless surgery, they will likely keep an eye out and encourage prosecution of doctors who suggest needless surgery. Job cuts will not occur- the nation will still require the same amount of healthcare as before, it will simply be private instead of public jobs." -David Frankin |
