Bill: Addendum to Decrease the Economic Threat posed by Strikes
Details
Submitted by[?]: Machiavellian Interests Concern
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2449
Description[?]:
Because of the serious threat towards our economic stability that a strike could have, we propose to allowing the firing of strike workers with Government consent. This consent would only be given in times of extreme need when our economy would be threatened. It is neccesary to have this clause in place because of our third world status, anything that could potentially cause our economy trouble should be handicapped. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Employer's rights in regards to firing striking workers.
Old value:: Employers cannot fire workers who have gone on strike.
Current: Employers can fire workers who are deemed to have gone on strike without reasonable reasons.
Proposed: Government approval is needed before strikers can be fired.

Message | Although the phrase "Government approval is needed before strikers can be fired" may sound full and quite impressive, it doesn't cover the fact that strong bussiness have a variety of influences on government officials, resulting to a mislead of decisions, whether it will be for the benefit of a single company, or the benefit of our nation. Therefore, the solution to improving our third world status is NOT in stepping on human rights. Our status will fall even lower at the expense of the people and at the benefit of the urban. We, the LDS, are strictly confident that the most wise decision is to vote NO to this bill. |
