Bill: Curfew Power Devolution Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2450
Description[?]:
The DSP feels that the current system in which the national government can issue curfews in states of emergency is far to centralized and only hurts attempts to protect the people in such cases. The DSP proposes that curfews may only be implemented by local governments in states of emergency. Not only will this allow for protecting people and cutting down on response time, but it will prevent curfews from taking effect in places they are not needed. |

Old value:: The national government may impose curfews, but only if a state of emergency has been declared.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
