Bill: Legislative Term
Details
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2451
Description[?]:
I'm totally befuddled by the sentiment that having elections always occur at the same time is somehow unfair to people in different time zones. It's not like you have to be awake and at your computer to get votes in an election... Elections should occur after a uniform amount of time, not this strange 28 months that we have. Although I proposed a 24 month session before I understand now that four days is pretty short so 36 months seems to make the most sense to me. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The length of a legislative and executive term, in months. Should be between 24 and 72.
Old value:: 28
Current: 24
Proposed: 36
