MessageOrganizations like these so-called "Democratic Workers' Councils" serve no purpose other than to stifle the flow of industry, harming the lifeblood of the nation. The roads must roll, and any obstacles to efficient operation of the economy must be removed in the spirit of true liberty.

The right of the individual to run his business as he sees fit is inviolate, a fundamental freedom which must not be impeded, the parasites of government have no right to blather about "discrimination" and use this as an excuse for stripping away the rights of the employer.

MessageArticle One prohibits the free exersize of commerce, there is no reason why DWC's shouldnt exist. If a corporation chooses to be run that way, so be it.

Article Two permits discrimination, we are all human, and should be treated as such

MessageThe NLA is right. Article 1 is in violation of the individual's right to run a business, a right that extends even to failing a business. Furthermore, what you write about stifling the flow of industry is a dangerous path indeed if taken to its logical conclusions. John Galt never tried to shut down Twentieth Century Motors or enact a law that made such a company illegal, he simply left. The principle here is not to apply force no matter what good you might think will come of it.

We will support article 2 if it is proposed again on its own.

MessageTrue, it is possible to allow society to destroy itself through socialist stupidity, then build sensibly from the ashes. But if one already knows what a sensible system looks like, and has a chance to work toward it, the best case scenario is that such destruction is pre-empted, and the worst case is that it is delayed, in which scenario you can still build from the ashes. Better to eliminate the causes than allow them to run their course. DWCs and trade unions are anti-individualist and anti-capitalist organizations of the first degree, and legislation outlawing them is a lesser evil than leaving them free to spread their insidious poison. We are not Nero, to fiddle while Rome burns.

While the party must agree that those who would support such groups deserve the ruin they ask for, it must take issue with the view that the rest of us allow ourselves to be destroyed with them just to provide clear proof that we were right. It is a high price to pay for unequivocal rhetorical victory.

MessageWhat do you think a sensible system looks like? Germany or Spain in the 1930s? Give us an example.

MessageA sensible system is one which places no hurdles in the path of the productive individual, no restraint on the decisions of individuals which do not have a significant and detrimental societal impact, which refuses to coddle individuals who seek hand outs, and strikes fast to shatter all "private" groups whose purpose is to destroy the very concept of private property, properly disposing of degenerate advocacy platforms for the "collective" and "communal". The story of historical progress is the story of great individuals accomplishing great deeds, and the story of historical tragedy is the story of the masses of small minds making collosal communal errors, and seeking to destroy the great in order to make themselves feel less small.

Article 2 by itself we possibly could find ourselves voting for because it would reverse Cildania's ban on affirmative action. Albeit not exactly in the way we'd ideally want to go about it..

Article 1 is a peverse attempt to ban companies that try to operate in a more ethical manner. So much for the so called "free market."

MessageWhat you fail to realize, is that smothering all collectivist ideologies only puts you on the other side of the same coin as the rest of these socialist tyrants... all of you are trying to force people into thinking a certain way. Human nature cannot be tempered; the proof being every failed planned economy to date. If I assume correctly that you are working toward a 'Galt's Gulch' on a national scale, it would no doubt fail as well (as Rand freely admitted). In fact, this is such a blatant misrepresentation of John Galt that I'm beginning to suspect you to be some self-styled satirist...

Either way, by all means preach your gospel to all that will listen... but once you take that step toward forcing people to behave how you think is best, then you have lost all moral footing. This is why the League works toward removing force of all flavors from the lives of Cildanian citizens.

Random fact: When elections in a country are held, all bills in the voting phase are reset to the debate phase.

Random quote: "The answer to global warming is in the abolition of private property and production for human need. A socialist world would place an enormous priority on alternative energy sources. This is what ecologically-minded socialists have been exploring for quite some time now." - Louis Proyect
