Message | This bill is substantially similar to our previous budget proposal, except that it adopts some of MLPs recommendations, and makes some other minor changes. 1) It shaves a billion ALOs off of defense, per MLPs request. 2) In addition to not cutting justice, it adds a quarter of a million ALOs to justice. 3) It doubles the budget for finance, because in addition to normal staffing needs, finance needs to field auditors. 4) It gives a litlte more to health and social services, and to education and culture. Since this bill substantially adopts MLPs recommendations, and since between MLP and DR there are enough votes to pass this, I'm submitting it for vote. We still encourage debate on this, and will be willing to adopt more changes down the road. --Mildred Mulligan, Minister of Finance |

Message | Rather, it adds a quarter of a billion to justice. |
Date | 21:25:48, September 08, 2007 CET | From | Industrialist Party of Aloria | To | Debating the Budget proposal of August 2452 |
Message | It adds money to the ever-growing push towards a welfare state. We oppose. |
Date | 06:13:43, September 09, 2007 CET | From | Moderate Libertarian Party (NoCoalition) | To | Debating the Budget proposal of August 2452 |
Message | The defense increase AND health increases are still far, far too much. The rest is OK. Resubmit the bill with defense being no more than 2,000,000,000ALOs (this would increase it 500,000 anyway) and health no more than the same, and the MLP will vote YES. The rest makes for a very fiscally responsible bill. |
