Bill: MNP - Malivian National Security Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Anti-Communist Front

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2455

Description[?]:

This bill aims to stem and eliminate illegal immigration and expelling those hiding inside Malivia currently. The MNP can not, and will not, stand by while illegal immigration and those who harbor them exists. Malivia has a system in place that allows chosen individuals and their families to be absorbed into Malivian society and culture, and in time become nationals and citizens. Illegal immigrants act as a slap on the face to both legal immigrants and the state and should not be tolerated.

Article #1: Malivians are absolutely loyal to their nation, but it is doubtful wither foreigners are capable of showing the same absolute loyalty as those that have lived here all their lives, the nationals. Native Malivian will fight any threat to the state, but what of foreign citizens? Can we expect them to have the same dedication and loyalty to the state? What if they are spies? Saboteurs? While those foreigners are no doubt the minority is it worth taking the chance of admitting them into the military?

Article #2: With the exclusion of foreigners in the military and the creation of anti-partisan and immigration control crops we will need a large number of new recruits in the armed forces. This act will ensure that the new recruits are able to be found quickly and efficiently. This is only a temporary measure.

Article #3: This measure has proven its effectiveness in the past and the MNP belives that it is still very useful not only to the security of our great state but it could also be useful in helping to eliminate illegal immigration.

Article #4: It is a sad realization but sometimes even our fellow Malivians help to smuggle people into our great nation. This act will ensure that people with criminal pasts, especially dealing with human trafficking, will be denied a passport. With this measure we can help stop illegal immigration that is, sadly, assisted by our own people.

Article #5: Article five is an essential part of the Malivian National Security Act. By actively searching houses suspected to harbor illegal immigrants we can root them out quickly and efficiently. After being found they will be promptly deported, while the landlords responsible for harboring them will be jailed or fined, depending on the circumstances.

Message1. We will accept keeping people out of the military from countries we may be engaging in conflict with. (Such as Deltaria.) Is that what you have planned?
2. We can support this if the term is brief outside of war time. Otherwise we will have to oppose this, due to the negative impact this would have on the economy.
3. If they are war criminals we can accept this.
4. Support, for the sake of keeping peace.
5. Reasoning? We are leaning towards opposing this
6. Can support.
7. Oppose.

Message1. We still believe that the Malivian military, or government, for that matter, should discriminate based on race and religion. Does it always matter how much dedication they put forth? For all it's worth, we could very well employ foreigners in penal battalions, if that is the preference of the majorirty and the people.

2. We believe the current value is fine for now, but we are indifferent on whichever passes.

3. Passing this article is a blight upon our honor. As long as this Article is active, the Militarist Party will oppose this bill. We need not throw away our integrity and decency against our enemies.

4. The Militarist Party expresses its full support for this Article

MessageThe Red Panthers will not support this at all, and if this is passed, will prove an ill time for Malivia.

MessageOOC: Article seven removed, added description for articles five and six.
IC: Would the MP support this bill fully if Article 3 was removed? We question why the MP does not support article one? The manpower lost will be made up for, replaced by more loyal recruits who fully support Maliva, not foreigners with questionable allegiances.

We agree with the SSD on article two, that is why the measure will also be temporary. We would also like to point out that the foreigners discharged will have to find work in other fields, so the blow would be softened.

Do the Red Panthers have any reasons to support their statement or are they just dribbling more communist lies?

Message1) Why should it matter what race or religion a person is?
2) Drafting is a no-no.
3) Torture is a no-no.
4) We don't feel like closing the borders.
5) Same as above.
6) Why waste government resources on this?

Overall, we don't see why these are needed as Malivia isn't at a state of war to our knowledge.

MessageArticle 1: who are we permitting to join the military. From the bills wording it seems the intent is to only permit citizens, but the article is more restrictive then this. Ar ewe only permitting natural born citizens of the correct race?

As to the rest we feel the Protectorates have been clear that the oppose security checks and restrictions on naturalization. An open society is one where we would have no fear or those who are envious of us, would be free to join us.

FromNew Conservative Party of Malivia
ToDebating the MNP - Malivian National Security Act
MessageThis is xenophobic, and foolish. The New Conservatives refuse to support such racist measures as articles one, four, five and six. The entire bill is oppressive, but we would particularly like to register concern at article 3. What you propose is allowing us to commit inhumane and cruel actions against prisoners. The New Conservative Party cannot, in good conscience, allow this Bill to pass.

FromNational Anti-Communist Front
ToDebating the MNP - Malivian National Security Act
MessageOOC: Article one is a mix of both, but mostly natural citizenship.
We are saddened by both the N.C.P.M's and PP's lack of support. This bill is good for the state of Malivia and her people how can both parties not see this. How can we give soldiers of questionable loyalty the responsibility defending our people, that can not be allowed in good conscience. If we must make broad assumptions about other peoples heritage to help our military in defending our nation then so be it.

FromMilitarist Party
ToDebating the MNP - Malivian National Security Act
MessageThis is the Militarist Party's final positions on ALL Articles until the bill is amended:

5. The Militarist Party is indifferent on this Article but leans toward the Proposed value

6. The Militarist Party fully supports this Article. Illegal immigrants have no right to take jobs from legal immigrants and Malivian citizens.

However, our support of some articles will mean nothing as long as Article III is on the table. We will not support this bill unless it is removed.
