MessageMr Speaker,

This is an outrage! Nay, in a HOLY EMPIRE it's TREASON!

* Roars of support erupt from the loyalist section of the Diet.

I yield the floor.

MessageIncreasing taxes never has a positive effect. All it serves is to increase the bureaucracy, and further restrict the freedoms of our people.

Messageedit to previous post.

I am not recommending that we increase taxes, just have all people regardless of race, sex, or religion be taxed. Currently this is just like the government choosing which people they will tax and which they will not.

MessageMr Speaker,

We have proposed for a long time that all tax be rationalised at a tithe of 10%, but as the Church is an integral part of the state it makes no sense to tax it than to tax government departments out of their government budgets. Individual churchgoers pay tax like everyone else, of course, why would the Church pay tax again?

I yield the floor.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We will vote against this as we would defend our religious institutions and would not impose more taxes on the people.

MessageWhat about charities? Do you want to tax them too? And voluntary organisations who do their bit in the community? Maybe you'd like to tax the dead as well?

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections.
