Bill: Province Power in the Gambling Industry
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberty Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2456
Description[?]:
The Liberty Party believes that instead of letting Provincial governments take either extremes, this is a sensible policy worthy of national recognition. A quite game between trusted friends in your home, or a special night out in an approved casino is a right for all our citizens, regardless of which province they reside in. Besides, gamblers will flock to provinces that allow gambling, whilst black markets spring up in their home regions between those who can't afford to make the trip to the less tyrannical province. RSFA: We know your in favor of Federalism, but perhaps you'd consider compromising this time? Besides, this is something that affects the working class; they can't afford to travel inter-province to have a fun night out, so they break the law in their own province. Compromise is a virtue, along with reason. :D |

Message | If we truely support free enterprise and personal choice then something as simple as gambling should be nationally recognized and cannot be made illegal, as long as it operates within the law. Agreed |
