Message | How about Greco-Roman wrestling? It very well fits our culture and it is sufficiently aggresive and interesting, as well as less aristocratic than fencing. |

Message | Hm, well it was incredibly homoerotic, which is a plus, but is there a shorter name for it? |

Message | Well, "wrestling" covers a lot of things, from modern tournament-style wrestling to WWE eXtreme wrasslin'. Apparently the shorthand for Greco-Roman Wrestling is simply "Greco," and it's an interesting wrestling style in that any holds below the waist or any use of one's legs are not allowed. Throws tend to be used more often than other styles because one cannot simply use one's leg to hook the opponent and defeat the throw. As for Soccer, what I mean is European Football, which we North Americans tend to call Soccer. You know, the sport governed by FIFA? That one. |

Message | Ok, well we need to find a shorter descriptor name for the wrestling. And I thought as much, but considering half of use our North American and Half European, I had to ask. |

Message | The DSP, after doing some studying has decided upon Pancrase, a modern derivation from the old Greco-Roman Pancration, the main difference is it's safer and more civilized. Of course we don't oppose it being changed in the future, but for the foreseeable future we won't be suggesting a change if this passes. |

Message | Civilized Wrestling such as Pancrase is quite acceptable to the PRP. |

Message | "American or European Soccer?" What is "American soccer"? You have invented your own version of soccer now? What it's like, Beckham getting 500 millions a month for being on the cover of "Vague"? ;) (I am a huge fan of football, ie soccer (having played it for 10 years myself and now turned to coaching kids), and I find Beckham playing in USA ridicilous, even though I hate him as a player and a person) I think you meant "American or European football". And we support Pancrase as an official sport, even though we are not quite sure what it's like. Apparently some sort of wrestling, judging from PRR's post. Wrestling is always good for raising soldiers. |

Message | Eh, same difference, like tuh-may-toh and tuh-mah-toh. And finally there's enough support for a sport to have it changed. |
