Bill: Changing the Regional Term Act of 2455
Details
Submitted by[?]: 帝国公明党 (Teikoku Kōmeitō)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2456
Description[?]:
Since it's a new term, and we have had positive feedback from the last bill dealing with this issue, we are now bringing it up once again. The term Exarchy is archaic, and is no longer suitable for describing the regions that make up our nation, therefore we propose changing the term to Provincia. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The official title of subnational entities, also known as regions.
Old value:: Exarchy
Current: 郡 - gun (electoral district)
Proposed: Provincia

Message | Change is the essence of things, naming everything based on an old collapsed and in reality not that great, by todays standards, civilization is, well, anyways, we're a party of change and seek to shake off the vestiges of our dark past. |

Message | Sekowo is, in the opinion of Plato's Republicans, made great by its willingness to accept other cultures' ideas, innovations, and peoples. By taking such a visible step towards embracing an alternate culture we believe that Sekowo will show that it is diverse and welcoming. |

Message | Well, Provincia is a Romanesque term, and the Greek empire more or less just blended into the Roman empire, so it is consistent. |

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections. |
