Dear My Fellow Assemblymen:

In conjunction to the reform of the income tax bill that I proposed earlier, this bill will completely BALANCE the Federal BUDGET. Yes, it can be argued that it is a "barebones" budget but remember once we REVITALIZE the Rutanian economy via Pro-GROWTH economic policies, Federal Revenue will EXPLODE!!!

Thank you for your full support.

Cordially,

Christian E. Savage, President & Prime Minister-elect of the Commonwealth of Rutania

I don't follow your logic here: this bill doesn't allocate not ONE "billion dollars" to the military or ANY department for that matter b/c it is constrained to 140,000,000 RUT. Yes, you are correct that it is a "barebones" budget but that is because it muse be aligned/budgeted with the income tax bill that my Administration proposed earlier that will enhance ECONOMIC GROWTH & JOBS.

Second, in ANY national budget, we should always allocate 50% of said resources to our Men and Women in Uniform in order to lay the foundation for a STRONG NATIONAL DEFENSE.

MessageWhere did I say "dollars"?

Also, I have yet to see a reasonable defense of zeroing out the education and social services budgets.

Being in favor of small government and grassroots capitalism ourselves, the Neo-Epicurean party is in favor of privatizing the national defense industry. If private schools can provide education and private charities can provide social services, then private arms interests can provide a national defense. Let the people who are interested in weapons provide the funds out of their own pockets, and let those people who have other priorities spend their hard-earned money as they see fit.

I agree with you that the Private sector can be much more efficent at times, BUT if the State produces its OWN defense weapons combined with private industry, it would save the taxpayers BILLIONS. Don't worry, though: as our Commonwealth transcends from a "Second Class" nation to an Economic & Militaristic SUPERPOWER as a result of my sound "Hamiltonian" economic plan, Federal Revenue will BALLOON and I can increase more gov't spending.
